I started in spreadsheets, moved into BI when Power BI and Tableau made dashboards worth building, went deeper into the platforms underneath them, and now spend most of my time on where AI actually helps in analytics work and where it quietly does not. The tools keep moving, which is most of the reason the job stays interesting after eighteen years.
